A Walk In The Clouds

Since the beginning I have always been attracted to an atmosphere that creates a mood in my photographs. And this was true on my trip to Sicily. My hope was to have the opportunity to photograph in such conditions. The day we arrived in Erice, which is a High Medieval town on the northwest coast of Sicily, it was bright, cool, and sunny, which was a bit disappointing, because I was hoping for a more interesting atmosphere.

“A Walk In The Clouds” was taken the same glorious morning as “A Place For Dreaming”. I decided on the title while talking to the man in the photograph. During our conversation he expressed how much he enjoyed walking when the clouds came. We walked together for a while, and after he started to walk away, I took this iconic photographed of him.
