Rittenhouse Square is one of the five open spaces that William Penn incorporated into Philadelphia’s original plan. Logan Circle, Franklin Square, City Hall, and Independence Park are the other four locations. It is one my favorite subjects in my Philadelphia series. With the changing of the season different aspects of its personality emerge.
