Luminaire In The Square

Rittenhouse Square is one of the five open spaces that William Penn incorporated into Philadelphia’s original plan. Logan Circle, Franklin Square, City Hall, and Independence Park are the other four locations. It is one my favorite subjects in my Philadelphia series. With the changing of the season different aspects of its personality emerge. This photograph of Rittenhouse Square in Winter is one of my favorites. Luminaire in the Square conveys a joyous and happy holiday season. Many people when the see Luminaire in the square say it reminds them of the movie. Its a wonderful Life. It was an evening of enchantment and magic with the snow and lights creating this wonderful image.
